THE GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO declared a provincial emergency on March 17, 2020, which is still in effect.  Under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act St. Philip’s Cemetery must follow strict public health measures and establish and enforce procedures allowing safe operation during the COVID-19 outbreak.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO GATHERING SIZE RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT AS OF FEBRUARY 17, 2022

Our response to the pandemic

We are committed to the health and safety of our staff and service providers, the families we serve and their guests who participate in the services we offer. We appreciate your diligence and understanding.

The following protocols, procedures and restrictions are based on the Provincial Response Framework.

Screening

All visitors to our facilities will be screened as follows:

COVID-19 QUESTIONNAIRE

  1. Do you have any of the following new or worsening symptoms or signs? Fever or chills, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, sore throat, trouble swallowing, runny or stuffy nose, decreased or loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain, not feeling well, extreme tiredness or sore muscles?
  2. Have you had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 without wearing appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment)?
  3. Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?

DO NOT VISIT St. Philip’s Anglican Church or the cemetery if you anwered ‘YES’ to any of these questions (Ontario Regulation 364/20). Stay home or go home immediately and call your health care provider or Telehealth at 1 866 797 000.

Restrictions

The following restrictions apply regardless of vaccination status:

VISITING (social gatherings not associated with a scheduled interment)

  1. Capacity limits for outdoor gatherings have been lifted
  2. Social distancing is recommended
  3. Face masks covering mouth and nose are mandatory if social distancing rules cannot be observed.

INTERMENTS

  1. Capacity limits for outdoor gatherings have been lifted
  2. Social distancing is recommended
  3. Face masks covering mouth and nose are mandatory if social distancing rules cannot be observed.

ACCESS TO ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES

  1. By appointment only (doors are locked at all times)
  2. Capacity restricted to two (2) visitors at any one time
  3. Visitors must pass COVID-19 screening
  4. Social distancing required
  5. Face masks covering mouth and nose are mandatory
