By-laws
Our by-laws comply with the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) and have been approved by the
Ministry of Government and Consumer Services

They include the rules and regulations that govern the operation of St. Philip’s Cemetery. We suggest that all rights holders make themselves familiar with our by-laws to better understand their rights and responsibilities.
Cemeteries Act
The Cemeteries Act (revised 1990, R.S.O) applies to the operation and all transactions of a cemetery in Ontario. It also protects your rights as a consumer and outlines standard practices.
Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act
The Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act (FBCSA 2002, S.O. 2002, Chapter 33) regulates a cemetery’s business operations in detail, establishes a code of ethics and protects you as a consumer.
